About Bailey & Hound
I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals. I even spent some time working in a veterinary environment, but I quickly realised it wasn’t quite for me, I found the sadder side of the job incredibly difficult.
In 2018, I decided to give dog grooming a try, and I instantly fell in love with it. I knew I had finally found something that combined my love for animals with a career I could truly be passionate about.
Throughout my grooming career, our own dog, Bailey, was always my biggest inspiration. As she got older, I found that traditional grooming salons simply couldn’t provide the experience she needed. She needed time, patience and a slower approach, without being rushed from one dog to the next.
After years of working in salons and even being a manager of a award winning salon, I began to realise that I didn’t agree with the busy, conveyor-belt style of grooming that is so common. I wanted to create something different, a place where dogs can be themselves, rather than simply being expected to stand still and behave like a statue.

That’s where Bailey & Hound was born. Inspired by my girl Bailey and the kind of grooming experience I always wanted for her, I created a 1-to-1 house-call grooming service centred around time, patience, comfort and welfare.
Every dog is given the maximum time allocated to their appointment, meaning there’s no need to rush.
If your dog needs a break for cuddles, some gentle strokes, a little nap or even a play break, I’m more than happy to cater to them. Sometimes they need five minutes to reset, sometimes they need a little reassurance, and sometimes they simply need to be allowed to be a doggy and that’s okay.
By bringing the grooming experience into their own home, dogs can stay somewhere familiar and comfortable, with their favorite people nearby. I want every dog to feel heard, respected and cared for throughout their groom.
Bailey & Hound is my way of doing things differently, giving dogs the time to be themselves, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is being treated with patience, kindness and genuine care.

Certifications
City & Guilds Dog Grooming qualification
City & Guilds Dog Grooming Qualification
I gained my City & Guilds Dog Grooming qualification at Capel Manor College, where I developed my foundations in professional dog grooming, including practical pet trims and breed-standard grooming techniques. Since qualifying, I’ve continued to build my skills through professional seminars and further education, including Asian Fusion styling and expanding my knowledge of breed-standard trims.
Emmi-Pet Ultrasonic Toothbrush
I completed specialist Emmi-Pet training through a professional seminar, learning how to safely use the ultrasonic teeth-cleaning system, the correct techniques to provide the best results, and most importantly, when treatment is not suitable and should be avoided. This allows me to offer teeth cleaning with your dog’s comfort, safety and wellbeing always in mind.
Animal Love - Canine Health & First aid & Oral + Dental health in dogs
I completed specialist First Aid and Health training to ensure I’m prepared to respond calmly and confidently should a worst-case scenario ever occur during a grooming appointment. I also completed additional Oral & Dental Hygiene training with the same company, further developing my knowledge of canine dental health, oral care and recognising when an Emmi-Pet treatment may not be suitable. My aim is always to put your dog’s safety, comfort and wellbeing first.
Meet our Hounds - Milly & Mabel
Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to share our home with many wonderful dogs, each one playing a part in sparking my love for animals and my passion for caring for hounds. Their legacy continues with these two sweethearts, who are now a very special part of our family. Meet the two dogs who keep me company, keep me laughing and remind me every day why I love what I do.
